From the moment Knox and EJ crossed paths again, it was abundantly clear that they were soul mates. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what transpired between Knox and Emma Jane, aka EJ, that would cause her to turn into a runaway bride. Now on to my review… RC Boldt is a tease and a genius! The prologue immediately grabbed my attention and had me devouring this book, because I just HAD to know what happened. All that pain of not knowing the others true feelings are amplified by the song choices of RC Boldt. So many tears! It’s like a giant break-up playlist, which is the heart of Emma Jane and Knox’s relationship throughout the book-the uncertainty of where they stand with each other and what the future holds after their 8 year separation. I’ll warn you that this one is a bit more melancholy than the typical book playlist. I loved having the added emotional connection that the songs brought to Knox and Emma Jane’s story.
